Federal District Criminal Search

Federal crimes do not fall under local or state jurisdictions. A two step search of theUnited States Federal court system must be performed. First, determination of a possible match must be made. Then, if a possible match is found, a more detailed verification search within the specific Federal district the possible match is located will be required. Each court maintains its own reporting systems and there may be variations among the jurisdictions as to available information.

A federal offense can include crimes committed on federal property, crimes made illegal through federal legislation. Examples of possible federal offenses include money laundering, tax evasion, mail fraud, bank robbery, interstate drug trafficking, interstate transportation of stolen goods, kidnapping, counterfeiting, and insider trading among many others. Also included may be federal regulatory violations considered criminal offenses. An additional charge is incurred for verification search if needed.
