Reference Interviews (Telephone)

Provides personal, professional, trade and related interviews or ratings of an individual. Usually use of a customized standard questionnaire applicable to the position and job responsibilities. Can include family members, spouses, ex-spouses, former supervisors, co-workers, personal references and others. Some references may require questionnaire submission by email or fax. Response is at the discretion and willingness of the reference. Some individuals, employees or co-workers may not be willing to participate. Some employers will not release or allow employees to give personal or professional references about current or past employees. A special release signed and dated by the person being screened may be required.  This screening element is used primarily for law enforcement positions as well as federal and state mandated job descriptions/requirements.
